Three Tactics to Boost Employee Satisfaction

All employees want a sense of satisfaction from their work. They want to get something out of all the effort they put into what they do. Here are a few things you can do to increase their satisfaction:
•   Build self-confidence.   Create an aura of self-worth by recognizing and rewarding people for their hard work. If they reach a goal or are essential to finishing a project, acknowledge them! This will make them feel better about themselves and more satisfied with what they’re doing.
•   Let employees take risks.   Give your people some room to experiment and do things their own way, at least a little. A bit of freedom can help put employees into a more positive mindset concerning their jobs.
•   Foster a positive office environment.   Comfortable chairs, decent-sized workspaces, and enough light can go a long way. Eliminating bureaucracy and inflexible office policies can also create positive attitudes among your co-workers.

Consolidate Your Mixers With Neighbors...

Are your mixers getting stale? Try this idea to stretch your mixer dollars and influence. Create a "Destination Mixer" with groups from other communities in your county or region! This will liven things up, increase your networking opportunities, and create goodwill between communities.
Some ideas include having a "seasonally themed" mixer (such as a Spring Fling) or base the themes on a holiday (like a costume mixer for Halloween). Each participating group can donate a door prize and share in the costs for food. Your ambassadors will have something fun to attend, and it creates an interesting chance to make more contacts!
